Sarara Brazil
Dirt makes you dizzy, and wheat fields give you the willies. You’re not the outdoorsy type.
Awaken your inner naturalist with Sarara Brazil jewelry.
After developing an affinity for nature during her Southern Illinois upbringing, designer Sara Brandon jetted to Brazil to study anthropology. She quickly fell in love with Brazilian accessories, namely those with an indigenous, African, and European flair.
Today she’s back in the U.S. of A., working with local Brazilian artisans to develop her signature chunky necklaces, bracelets, and rings, using natural materials like grass, nuts, Amazonian seeds, and renewable woods.
Each piece is bold enough to make the plainest outfit pop. Whether it’s the necklace made from coral branch or the brilliant tangerine, cranberry, and turquoise dyed seeds in the tapestry necklace, you’ll pull off any piece you pick.
After all, you’re a natural.

Unique, Sophisticated, Earthy Chic, Natural, modern, stylish, Eco-friendly, enduring, and beautiful. The essence of these accessories was inspired by culture and art as well as past and current fashion. We create modern items rooted in Eco friendly choices, fair trade, filled with color and rooted in natural forms.
The jewelry exudes North American style, reflects a bohemian-chic Brazilian flair, and the artist's perspective. The designs are inspired by indigenous North, Central and South American motifs, vintage designs, nature and our clients themselves.
Our jewelry not only makes the outfit, it is the outfit. It adds an extra spark, yet follows the rhythm of its wearer. The jewelry can be used year round. Some pieces are very dressy and chic, while others cling to your body mirroring your everyday style.
Every season Sara sits down and custom designs the colors used to dye the seeds, not just turquoise but robin's egg for example, as well the look and feel of the collection and its materials. She then works to hand select the materials and create them with the help of her artisan friends in Brazil and Peru.
Sara grew up in the countryside of Southern Illinois, where her parents' creativity fostered her ability to express herself. Natures, culture, pop culture, the designs of the 40-70’s have always been an influence on her life and style. This is evident in her choice of materials. Sara's style reflects her grandmother's and grandfather's stories of her Native American heritage. She has collected and made jewelry since she was very young.
Her fashion sense grew in Brazil where she received her doctorate degree in Visual Anthropology. She has experience in photography, indigenous studies, visual media, and the fashion industry. In Brazil she was inspired by the Indigenous, African, and European elements found in Brazilian jewelry. Her strong sense of aesthetics has led her to design such visually stimulating pieces.
The company name was inspired by the nickname, Sarara, given to her by her Brazilian friends. Since her name was Sara, they affectionately called her Sarara.
Sarara Brazil began by selling its products in Brazilian designer stores on a small scale and has since expanded to the United States in 2004, where she currently resides. She works with local Brazilian artisans in Manaus and Para and uses natural materials from Brazil such as grass, nuts, Amazonian seeds, and renewable types of woods as well as materials from North and Central America. Our quality is top notch and reflects the custom hard work put into the components and the respect I have for those local artisans who help me make the materials in Brazil and Peru and who are paid the price that they demand. So although are fashion sense is hopefully something you appreciate in our designs, you also support an eco friendly Amazonian community effort. As more acai products come into the U.S., you can be satisfied to know ours will not bleed onto your skin and is not bought in cheap bulks in major cities in Brazil. We pride ourselves on custom production and high standards.
